The children who live in the boarding school at Hailsham have everything they need: food, clothes and second hand toys. Protected by the school, they have no idea what happen in the world. Till the day a teacher tells them why they exist: they have to donate their organs when they are in their twenties and that they will die pretty soon.
Director Mark Romanek created a strong, overwhelming yet modest, surreal movie. The framework and colors underline the grace of the adults who accept their destination with a serene attitude. A movie never to forget.
Cast: Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield.
